Accessibility Details
We want to be sure all our guests are taken care of while visiting which is why we'd like to provide some extra details regarding accessibility at our medieval village. Have a look through the information below and if you still have any questions, please feel free to give us a shout through any of the channels at the bottom of the page.
Walking Duncarron
The terrain at Duncarron, while not inside a building, is primarily made up of gravel. The path from the Duncarron car park to the ticket office is about 30 meters (or 100 feet) and mainly flat. From there, the path from the ticket office up to the village is 350 meters (or 0.2 miles) and includes a gentle rise up to the front gates.
Once you are inside the village, there are some gentle slopes on the main and scondary levels as well as one steeper portion up to the Chieftain's House which may make use of some motorised mobility aids a little difficult. Duncarron is suitable for wheelchair users, but you might need assistance when the gravel is wet so please keep in mind that it rains fairly frequently in Scotland and the ground may be wet during your visit.

If you think the path up to the village may be too far, there is an option to park your car at the main level of the village. Please ask about this at the ticket office and we will be able to guide you up to the accessible parking area to start your adventure.
